Flatonia Girls Sweep Playoff Opening Series

The Flatonia softball team had a dominant start to the postseason, sweeping Refugio 16-6 and 25-15 in their Bi-District series last week.

In Thursday’s 16-6 win Jalee Trussell pitched a complete game, homered and drove in six runs. Emma Kosler had four hits, including three doubles.

In Friday’s 25-15 win, Brynlee Zimmerman and Kosler each had three hits, and Trussell doubled twice and drove in four. The Lady Bulldogs also walked 25 times.

The Flatonia girls (146) now advance to the Area round where they will face Riviera Kaufer, details still to be determined
