District 13-2A

Schulenburg vs. Thrall

When: 7:30 p.m. Friday Where: Thrall Records:

Schulenburg is 0-8. Thrall is 2-7 overall and 1-4 in district.

Of Note:

Neither of these teams can make the playoffs, but there’s still a lot at stake in this one as the Shorthorns try to avoid being the first Schulenburg football team to go 0-10 since 1959. Thrall is certainly beatable. The Tigers are 2-8 and beat Somerville in the season opener and then Weimar by eight points. Schulenburg has looked better lately, losing to Weimar by just five points two weeks ago and then scoring 33 in a loss to Holland last week ... Gilbert Price is the interim head coach for the Shorthorns. Head coach Walter Brock resigned earlier this season ... Jayse Janda had an encouraging game at quarterback for the Shorthorns last week, throwing for 150 yards and two touchdowns and running for 39 yards and two TDs.
