City of La Grange Approves New Lease Agreement for Gymnastics at Rec. Center

The La Grange City Council met in executive session Monday night, June 22, to discuss a lease agreement for a gymnastics program at the Randolph Recreation Center.

Shay Iannelli currently operates the gymnastics program at the Rec Center on behalf of the City. After the meeting, City Manager Jack Thompson said Iannelli and her husband Douglas will now lease a space at the Rec Center to offer their own gymnastics program.

“It gives them freedom to operate the program the best way they think they can do it,” Thompson said. “And it frees the City up to do some other programming for the Rec Center. It’s a win-win for everybody.”

After re-convening in open session, the Council approved the lease agreement.
