Conner Brooks has had a hot start to the 2024 basketball season for the La Grange Leps, leading the team in scoring in every game so far.

Tuesday he had a teamhigh 13 points as the Leps beat Taylor 57-47.

“He’s such an intelligent basketball player ... this year we’ve given him the keys to the offense (as point guard),” said La Grange head coach Trent Collier. “What a player, finishes well under the basket. He’s a baller, a good kid, he’s everything we need him to be – and he’s just a sophomore.”

We’re proud to honor Conner Brooks as this week’s Fayette County Athlete of the Week. Here’s our interview with him”

If you were writing the scouting report on Conner Brooks, what would you say?

“I would say he’s mainly a finisher. He needs a little help on defense. He’s a pretty good athlete, a good leader and just wants to win.”
