Bosl Coming Up Big For Bulldog Basketball

Flatonia basketball player Camden Boss stands at about 6’5” and is the tallest player on the team. Bosl takes advantage of his size down low, but he can score from anywhere on the court and has been a vital piece to the Bulldogs’ success this year.

“Camden is a true team player,” said Flatonia head boys basketball coach Chris Sodek. “He’s gonna do whatever’s asked of him and do his absolute best. It doesn’t matter if he’s coming off the bench, it doesn’t matter if he’s starting that game, depending on how we want to work the lineup. He doesn’t complain. He just goes out there and does his job and he’s the kind of kid you want to coach. He’s the kind of kid that makes your team win. I can’t say enough about him. He’s a really good guy. He comes from a great family and he’s gonna be a real success in life. I can’t wait to see everything he does.”

Bosl cashing in on his basketball build has made him our selection for this edition’s Athlete of the Week.

Question: What’s been your favorite part of the season?

Answer: “Just being able to play with my friends. We’re a really good team. We’re just trying to win the state championship.”

Question: You’re also on the golf team. What kind of ball do you use in competition?

Answer: “Usually a Taylormade TP5.”

Question: Who’s a golfer you like on the PGA Tour and why?

Answer: “Probably John Rahm. I mean, he’s just really good and consistent.”

Question: What’s your greatest basketball memory?

Answer: “It would probably be the other day. This will be the first time I play in the playoffs for basketball and I feel like I did pretty good.”

Question: What do you think is the best part of your game in basketball?

Answer: “Definitely playing defense and rebounding because I’m tall and I can block shots.”

Question: If you could play one golf course of your choice, which would you choose and why?

Answer: “I can’t think of what it’s called, but it’s a Tiger Woods course in Missouri.” (The name of the course is Payne’s Valley.)

Question: Who would you say is your most interesting teammate in basketball?

Answer: “Definitely Jaidyn Guyton. He’s all over the place.”

Question: Where do you see yourself after high school?

Answer: “I will be attending Texas A&M to do construction science.”

Question: You’re one of the taller kids on the basketball team. When did you hit your growth spurt?

Answer: “I think it was right after sophomore year.”

Question: What would

you say is the best trait about Flatonia basketball?

Answer: “We’re just selfless. We share the ball really well and we’re able to find teammates.”

Bosl provides length and has a jump shot, which adds to an already lethal Flatonia hoops team.
