5-For-5: All Fayette County Volleyball Teams Win Tuesday

La Grange

The La Grange volleyball team won at Tomball West in three sets 25-15, 25-14, 25-20 Tuesday to improve to 5-2 in district play through the first round of 23-4A action. They begin the second round of district play Friday at home against Giddings at 5 p.m.

Fayetteville

The Fayetteville volleyball team beat North Zulch Tuesday 25-16, 25-11, 25-21. Lainey Gromaski led the team in kills with 11. Cambree Denham had 10 kills, Lilly Aldape had seven and Aubree Grater five.

Scotti Beseda had seven aces and 30 assists.

Emily Keilers had 13 digs, Aldape six and Gromaski five.

A trio of Lady Lions were See honored after the game for career milestone accomplishments – Scotti Beseda’s 2,000 assists, Emily Keilers’ 1,500 digs and Lainey Gromaski’s 1,000 kills. The Fayetteville volleyball team is now 19-10 overall.

RTC

The Round Top-Carmine volleyball team beat Aggieland Home School Tuesday night in four sets 25-19, 22-25, 25-18, 25-9. The Cubettes improved their record to 19-8 with the win. Stats from that match for RTC include: Madison Markwardt 5 kills, 1 assist block, 11 digs, 32 assists, 2 aces; Bree Dooley 13 kills, 10 digs, 5 assists, 1 ace; Caydan Nelius 8 kills, 2 solo blocks, 1 dig; Hayden Kasmiersky 9 kills, 1 assist block, 7 digs; Rebekah Sacks 4 kills, 2 assist blocks, 2 digs; Morgan Nelius 7 kills, 10 digs, 2 assists, 4 aces; Liliana Salinas 7 digs, 1 assist, 1 ace; Reagan Williams 5 digs; Avery Lamson 1 kill, 5 digs, 1 assist, 1 ace.

Schulenburg

The Schulenburg volleyball team edged Hallettsville in five sets Tuesday, winning the even numbered sets before taking the finale 15-3.

The Lady Horns are now 20-17 overall and 5-2 in district.

Flatonia

The Flatonia volleyball team beat Shiner in four sets Tuesday 27-25, 25-20, 23-25, and 25-16. Flatonia stats for the match include – Aces: Kat Sullivan and Emma Kosler 2, Kennedy Dornak and Brynlee Zimmerman 1; Blocks: Kat Sullivan 2, Abbie Uzzell & Quinn Arnett 1; Block Assists: Quinn Arnett 2, Kat Sullivan and Addison Berckenhoff 1; Digs: Brynlee Zimmerman 21, Emma Kosler 16, and Kennedy Dornak 13; Assists: Harper Morrill 37; Kills: Kat Sullivan 18, Abbie Uzzell and Quinn Arnett 7.
