Food Preservation Workshop Sept. 30

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Offices of Austin and Fayette County will conduct a food preservation workshop on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Fayette County Ag Building, 255 Svoboda Lane, La Grange.

McCourts Honored by Church and Pope

On July 29, a special celebration and Mass was held at Hostyn’s church hall honoring the retirement of Deacon John McCourt and celebrating he and his wife Eileen’s 59th wedding anniversary. At the event, a pair of awards for the couple were announced.

The roster of featured speakers bringing a wide range of nonprofit education at the upcoming second annual South-Central Texas Rural Philanthropy Day (SCTX RPD) has been announced. Hosted by the Fayette Community Foundation (FCF), this professional development conference is designed to alleviate the strain on our local nonprofits by building their organizational capacity and strengthening their relationships with a variety of funders.

Senior Connections Receives An AED For the Senior Center

What an action-packed month July 2023 has been. The Ice Cream Social was the highlight of the month and everyone had such a great time. There were 52 people at Senior Connections on Tuesday, July 25, who came in for a cool ice cream treat, and we had 15 new members submit their applications.
