The bridges on county roads in the Muldoon area are being replaced and have been causing some travel issues for the locals. While the bridges on Buzby Creek on Boehnke Road and the bridge on Parkerville Road are now open, the bridge on Wallace Road still remains closed while they finish up the railings.

Central Texas Food Bank truck will be at the Waldeck Lutheran Church, located at the junction of FM 1291 and FM 2145, this Saturday, March 16 from 10-11 a.m. Food distribution will be walk-up method.

Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites will host their second annual Spring Break on the Bluff, a weeklong series of hands-on historic activities, from Saturday, March 9 through Sunday, March 17. Held daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors will have the chance to engage in living history and crafting activities to celebrate the changing seasons and take a break from work and school.

One-of-a-kind merchandise and whopper bargains keep shoppers coming to Second Chance, La Grange’s charity thrift store. And last Saturday, March 2, two impromptu piano players kept those customers entertained as well.

Layna Woelfel-3rd place rabbits, Rayli Woelfel-19th place broilers, 6th place rabbits and showmanship.

The La Grange girls won their second team title in as many meets as they won the Leopard Relays Thursday with 137 points over second place Bellville, which had 129 points. There were eight girls teams competing.
