Open House Scheduled at Renovated Zilss Hall

News Zilss Hall has been undergoing some renovations to the kitchen this last month. The Winchester Area Civic Association would like to invite everyone to come to view the improvements on the evening of June 14 starting at 6:30 p.m.

Fayette Community Foundation Administers $68,500 at Third Annual Scholarship Reception

The Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) proudly hosted its third annual scholarship reception on Sunday, May 21 at the Historic Casino Hall in La Grange. Celebrations! By Bistro 108 Events and Catering provided a beautiful spread of light bites for the reception where awarded students and their families were able to meet the FCF Board, scholarship donors, and fund representatives who made their scholarships possible.

National Flag Day honors the adoption of the stars and stripes as our national symbol by the Continental Congress 246 years ago on June 14, 1777. National Flag Day was the dream of Bernard J. Cigrand, a 19-year-old school teacher in Fredonia, Wis.

Attention young ladies entering grades 6-12 in a Fayette County school or home schooled in Fayette County for the 2023-24 school year, the Fayette County Fair Association is seeking ambitious, outgoing individuals who would like to vie for 2023 Fayette County Fair Queen and Jr Miss to compete for academic scholarships, prizes and share memories of a lifetime. These young ladies will represent our county throughout the year at parades, community service activities, area fairs and rodeos and more. Here is a way to make a difference in your community. All categories will honor the first 10 completed applications in each category to compete.
