Winchester VFD Fish Fry Set July 25

Winchester VFD Annual Fish Fry will be held Saturday, July 25 at St. Michael’s pavilion in Winchester. The meal will be served from 5-7 p.m. Dine in or take-out. A free will offering will be collected. Silent auction will run from 4-6 p.m. with the live auction starting at 6 p.m. Raffle tickets will be available before the event, everyone is invited and encouraged to come out and support their local Winchester Fire Department.

BBQ Auction & Fundraiser 

Camp Lone Star in La Grange will have their Annual BBQ Auction and Fundraiser on Sunday, July 26. The day will start with special music at 10:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor worship service at 11 a.m., barbeque meal at noon and the benefit auction from 1-3 p.m.. The swimming pool will be open from 1-2:30 p.m. Each year, the camp served over 11,000 individuals through retreats, outdoor education and summer camps. They are looking for donations of quality auction items. Summer Camp registration, including their day camp program, for campers age 5-18 is also open. Register at www. camplonestar.org.

St. Paul Lutheran School 

St. Paul Lutheran School in Serbin is accepting applications for all grades for the upcoming school year. Applications are available on their website at: www.stpaulserbinschool. org or in the office. Holy Cross Sewing Circle The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary, and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church at (979) 242-3333 if you have any questions.

Game Day at Holy Cross 

The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, July 16 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Serbin Jackrabbits 

The Serbin Jackrabbits

will play Weimar at Weimar on Sunday, June 28 at 3 p.m.

Recycle Trailer 

The recycle trailer in Warda is located across the road from the church fellowship hall. Aluminum cans can be dropped in the wire basket at the church picnic grounds. The money for the cans supports the Holy Cross Youth Group.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The floors and carpets at the church, school and fellowship hall are scheduled for cleaning. The new building area will be closed from June 29-July 11.
