Stray Gathering Cowboy Church to Host Old-Fashioned Tent Revival on New Property April 18
The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is very active in the area and had Sunday Vittles on the last Sunday of March. They had a great meal after their Sunday morning worship. Sundays begin at 9:30 a.m. with coffee, doughnuts and fellowship followed by Sunday morning worship at 10 a.m. and everyone is welcome to come and check them out any Sunday morning.
The next big event for the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is their Old-Fashioned Tent Revival on April 18. They will be utilizing their new property for everyone to enjoy with this Tent Revival. This gives everyone a chance to check out the new property and see the vision SG2C has to develop the land and build their new facility.
The wonderful line-up that will be bringing the music and message include Dwyane Williams, Christina Scott, Calep Lewis, and Jackie Cox. This is a great and exciting lineup and will have the tent bouncing with some wonderful western talent. There will also be food available with the chuck wagon on site from 4 p.m. serving food and beverages.
If you get a chance drive by the new property FM 609 and Valenta Road and see where this will be taking place and get ready to enjoy some great Christian entertainment with a message.
Area ladies are invited to come out and join in a Ladies’ Bible Study on Tuesday mornings at SG2C. “The Women of the Bible Speak” by Shannon Bream is the study being led by Chris Leviton. Out and About
It was good to have Julia Speed back in Muldoon. She is hard at work on the family property getting things back into shape.
James and I traveled to Austin to catch up with my best friend from college, Alayna Kidd, her mom Salli Snell, and Alayna’s brother Leland Snell. We all meet up for lunch at Hook and Reel for a great time catching up and just visiting.
Nancie Blair went to Austin with her daughter Heather Tillerson and granddaughter Valarie Schick to Austin for a Third Day concert to celebrate their birthdays. The ladies really enjoyed their time together and decided to make a day of it. They enjoyed starting at Red River Café, then on to a tour of the Capitol, did some thrifting enjoying not only the concert, but also sampling Black’s BBQ at the location that was only a few blocks away from the venue. They then enjoying a wonderful concert.
Traffic
While on the roads in the area be careful. There has been a lot of big truck traffic traveling in the area. They are traveling fast moving dirt/material. This is a bit more than the usual traffic load in the area.
There are also a lot of wildlife, primarily hogs, moving through the area. There were a number of smaller pigs hit and the buzzards then came in for clean up making yet another traffic hazard.
Hogs do not yield to vehicles and buzzards fly up when traffic comes. This can make driving around through the country difficult, so pay attention, especially at night when it is hard to see the hogs crossing the road.
