Stanzel Museum Honored with the Edna Christian Academy’s “Best Field Trip” Award
The Stanzel ModelAircraft Museum is honored to have been selected as the recipient of Edna Christian Academy’s “Best Field Trip” Award, a distinction chosen by the students themselves after a year of educational adventures. The award was formally presented on May 19, 2026, during the Edna Christian Academy Academic Banquet, where students and faculty gathered to celebrate the accomplishments and memorable experiences of the school year.
What makes this recognition especially meaningful is that Edna Christian Academy takes its students on a field trip every Friday throughout the academic school year, providing children with more than 30 unique educational experiences. Out of all the destinations visited, students voted the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum as their favorite field trip of the year.
“We are incredibly honored and grateful to have been chosen by the students,” said Cynthia Fogleman, museum director. “To know that we meet our mission goals to inspire curiosity, creativity, and excitement among these young learners is truly rewarding.”
During their visit, students participated in a variety of hands-on learning experiences designed to engage multiple learning styles while connecting history, science, technology, engineering, and family heritage.
