St. Paul Adult Fellowship Plans BBQ Pork Steak Dinner June 21

St. Paul Lutheran Adult Fellowship in Serbin will have a BBQ Pork Steak Dinner on Sunday, June 21 from 10 a.m.-noon at the Serbin picnic grounds. Advance plate ticket sales only for $15 and all are to-go. Contact the church office for tickets (979) 3669650. All proceeds will go toward future church/school projects.

St. Paul SerbinVBS 

St. Paul Serbin will have Vacation Bible School June 8-12 with a Tropical Trek theme. Contact the church office at (979) 366-9650 for more information.

Holy Cross VBS 

Holy Cross in Warda will have Vacation Bible School June 15-17 from 6-8 p.m. The Adventure to Remember theme is “Are We There Yet?” In this VBS we will remember Moses-from the Nile to the Burning Bush…..from Plagues to Passover….from Red Sea to Wilderness-and through it all, we see God’s love, protection, and salvation. Camp Lone Star Auction 

Camp Lone Star in La-Grange will have their Annual BBQ Auction and Fundraiser on Sunday, July 26. The day will start with special music at 10:30 a.m. followed by an outdoor worship service at 11 a.m., barbecue meal at noon and the benefit auction from 1-3 p.m. The swimming pool will be open from 1-2:30 p.m. Each year the camp served over 11,000 individual through retreats, outdoor education and summer camps. They are looking for donations of quality auction items. Summer Camp registration, including their day camp program, for campers age 5-18 is also open. Register at www. camplonestar.org.

Sewing Circle 

The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.-noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions. 

Game Day at Holy Cross

The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, June 18 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.

Little Free Library 

The Little Free Library in Warda is located in the covered area by the fellowship hall entrance of Holy Cross Church. Please help spread the word, books and puzzles for all ages are available.

Serbin Jackrabbits 

The Serbin Jackrabbits will play New Ulm at Serbin on June 7 at 3 p.m. Results of last weeks game: Serbin 13, Flatonia 2.

Holy Cross Services 

Services at Holy Cross Lutheran are Sunday at 9 a.m. Bible Class and Sunday school follows the morning service.

The Church Youth Group will meet on Sunday, June 14 at 11 a.m. They meet monthly on the second Sunday. All youth 5th grade through high school are invited to join.

Pastor Beck will celebrate the 15th anniversary of his ordination on June 12. Everyone is invited to join the congregation in helping him and his family celebrate on Sunday, June 14, after the church service, in the fellowship hall.

Recycle Trailers 

Recycle trailers are located just past the fellowship hall. If you have aluminum cans, those can be dropped off in the large wire basket at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. The money from the cans goes to support the youth group.
