St. James to Celebrate Anniversary Sunday

St James Episcopal Church, La Grange, will celebrate its 171st anniversary with a special service on Sunday, Aug. 16, at 9:30 a.m. at its 1885 historic building at 156 North Monroe Street. The services of Holy Communion will follow the 1789 prayer book with Shakespearean type language and music used in the 1850s. Following the service, a “picnic” lunch in the Parish Hall will replicate an early Fayette County meal. Visitors are joyfully encouraged to join us in this celebration. Do note the time is different for this single service.
