Quilt of Valor Presented to Local Veteran

James J. Carey was honored with a quilt of valor from Fayette County. Carey is a three-time combat veteran, having served two deployments in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He is also a recipient of the Purple Heart. Pictured left to right; Bob Heinrich, Frank White, Gerald Smith, Don Christen, JJ Carey, Dennis Muhlstein and Andy Janda. All are members of Vietnam Veterans of America and American Legion. Presentation for the Quilts of Valor Foundation was requested by Texas State Coordinator Suzanne DiCarlo.
