The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center (TCHCC) in La Grange recently set up a new exhibit inside their museum to celebrate the United States’ 250th Anniversary (pictured above). The exhibit features three timelines covering important events from the past 250 years in America, Texas and the Czech Republic. TCHCC Historian Carolyn Heinsohn and TCHCC Geneologist Janice Hrncir compiled the information on this exhibit. TCHCC also upgraded signage and photographs in its permanent exhibits thanks to a generous grant from the Czech Embassy to the United States. Pictured below is a station in their permanent exhibit featuring former La Grange Mayor, Fayette County Judge and State Representative Augustin Haidušek. The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center is located at 250 W. Fairgrounds Rd. in La Grange. Admission to the museum is free to visit and open to the public.
