Meet the Artists of ArtWalk

A rts for Rural Texas’ annual ArtWalk returns to Fayetteville’s town square this May, featuring over 60 of Texas’ best artists. The festival will be held on Fayetteville’s town square Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday, May 3, from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

ArtWalk welcomes many artists from previous years, including jeweler Carianne Schulte. Inspired by her fascination with different cultures and the spirits of the past, Carianne creates talismanlike pieces that look and feel as if they have been made by someone from an ancient civilization.

Each handcrafted piece is made with sterling silver, gold, and stones, and holds a hidden meaning or story that waits for the wearer to discover.

The festival will also feature new artists, like Jane Robin Barrow. Moved by color, Jane’s oil, acrylic, and mixed media paintings radiate warmth, texture, and emotional depth.

She paints portraits, abstracts, and landscapes with vibrant color and expressive brushwork, bringing character and energy to any space.

Paula Vento, another artist new to the festival, is an impressionist painter whose work brings a sense of wonder and deeper exploration of the world around us. Influenced by her Christian faith and deep appreciation for God’s creation, Paula finds beauty in unexpected places, painting landscapes, florals, portraits, and still life with bold colors and dynamic compositions.

In addition to fine art, visitors can also enjoy live music, children’s activities, and a food and beverage court.
