Locals Celebrate Juneteenth on the Square

Juneteenth celebrations got started early with an event on the Courthouse Square in La Grange on Saturday, June 13. Rev. Leo Vaughns Jr. (pictured above) performed some rousing gospel music as local folks gathered for fellowship and food on the courthouse lawn. Juneteenth celebrations this weekend include more gospel music on the Square Friday evening, a parade on Saturday, and a community worship service Sunday.
