LHS Class of 1976 Holds 50th Reunion

The 1976 graduating class of La Grange High School recently celebrated their tenth time meeting as a class after their graduation date of June 1, 1976. Of the 112 graduates, 36 came together along with spouses, a few former teachers and coaches at the Historic Casino Hall on Saturday evening, June 13. In recognition of being the Bicentennial Class as well as a nod to celebrate our country’s upcoming 250th birthday, the hall was beautifully decorated in the patriotic colors of red, white, and blue. After grace and recognition of 18 deceased classmates, a delicious meal catered by Vasut Catering was enjoyed. A silent auction with items donated by classmates was very popular as well as reviewing the memorabilia tables while music from the 1970s played in the background. It was overwhelmingly decided that we would continue the tradition of meeting every five years and will gather again in 2031.
