Ladies’ Bible Study Begins Aug. 25 at Flatonia Baptist
Muldoon’s Gretchen Andrew will be leading a new Ladies’ Bible Study beginning on Tuesday, Aug, 25 at Flatonia Baptist Church 9:30-10:30 a.m. Gretchen has all the study materials and is happy to answer any questions. If you would like to join in or have any questions, please contact Gretchen at (713) 515-2875.
Last springs’ study was a great one and all the ladies enjoyed learning more about the Bible and making new friends in the process. All area ladies are invited to join in.
School Starting
School is starting and that means that traffic patterns will be changing and buses will be running. Slow down and stop for the flashing bus lights. Watch for kids standing close to the roads while waiting for the bus in the mornings and for them as they exit the bus in the afternoons. They may not be paying attention when they are headed home from the bus stop.
There also will be new first-time drivers out headed to class, so give lots of grace to those who are trying to get to school on time. Moms and dads will be trying to get their families to school while they head on to work. This all will mean there will be busier times on the roads in and around the area.
Out and About
Nancie Blair along with granddaughter Valarie and great grandkids Candence and Luke traveled to Palestine to Nancie’s brother and sisterin- law, Jerry and Karla Lang’s home. They all got together for a birthday celebration of great niece Ellie. They all had a great time. The kids enjoyed a bounce house water slide and this allowed the adults to all catch up with each other. They enjoyed a hot dog lunch before cake and ice cream along with presents for the birthday girl. It was a great family gathering.
Church News
Stray Gathering Cowboy Church is hard at work getting their Fall Round Up lined up and ready for Saturday, Oct. 3. This will be a fun family gathering and a great chance for a community fellowshipping with everyone. There are plans for both kid and adult activities, so mark your calendars now. If you would like to help out or find out more, please contact Chris Leviton at christineleviton1@gmail. com or (979) 702-0715.
SG2C meets every Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m. with coffee and goodies along with a chance to get to know others in the SG2C congregation. Then at 10 a.m. the worship service begins. Everyone is welcome to come and join in. Come as you are and join in.
Weather
Muldoon has been very dry and could use a shower. There have been a few days with cloud cover and a few teaser showers of just a few drops, but no measurable rain. If you have to be out in the heat, stay hydrated.
Little Library
The Little Lending Library is available to everyone and offers different books all the time. Borrow a book or leave one. The Little Lending Library is located in front of the Muldoon Fire Department. This would be a great way to survive the summer heat, by picking up a book and reading during the heat of the day.
