Fayette County Area Go Texan Awards $65,500 In Local Academic And Vocational Scholarships

Round Top Carmine ISD- Avery Nelius, Jessica Rohde, Gretchen Sacks. FCAGT Representative-Morgan Limmer
Weimar ISD – Aubrey Breska, Brooke Ohnheiser, Rylynn Thumann. FCAGT Representative – Gary Kainer

Through generous contributions and the support of the community helping with fundraisers, including the annual Shrimp boil held on the 4th Saturday in January and the Steak Dinner on the 4th Saturday in September, The Fayette County Area Go Texan committee was fortunate to award scholarships to 26 seniors in Fayette County.

Special Congrats to Van Prihoda of Schulenburg and Melany Vargas of Flatonia, winning the HLSR $6,000 Vocational Scholarship. In addition, each county receives a $20,000 4-year academic scholarship from HLSR. This year our recipient is Tori Newton of Fayetteville.

Overall, Fayette County has been fortunate to award $58,500 local academic and $7,000 local Vocational Scholarships to the below seniors in Fayette County.
