Community Blood Drive Saturday in Fayetteville
The Gulf Coast Blood Center will be on the square near the old fire station for the community blood drive sponsored by the Fayetteville/ Ellinger Knights of Columbus this Saturday from 8 a.m. till noon. The need for blood is critical—your donation can save a life.

Bingo
The Fayetteville Community Center is presenting Bingo on the Square this Sunday. Doors swing open at 11 a.m., kicking off 10 regular games, two jackpots, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. Concessions are provided courtesy of the Fayetteville Lions Club.

Community Theatre
Join the Fayette County Community Theatre (FCCT) as they present “Edith Stein” on July 31, Aug. 1 and 2 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Parish Hall in Fayetteville. This haunting and passionate drama tells the story of Edith Stein. A Jewish intellectual, Stein converted to Roman Catholicism, joined a Carmelite nunnery and was martyred at Auschwitz. Pope John Paul II later canonized her.

Fair Queen
Scarlett Grace Dodd, a senior at Fayetteville High School (FHS), is vying for the title of 2026-2027 Fayette County Fair Queen. Prior to enrolling at FHS, Dodd shadowed at Sealy Animal Hospital for three years, strengthening her passion for veterinary medicine.
She is active in track, cross country, UIL, and Animal Science Career Development Events, loves Jesus, animals, nature, art and volunteering with National Charity League alongside her twin sisters and her mother Kitty Dodd.
Dodd’s plans are to participate in a work-based learning program during her senior year and then complete two years at Blinn College before transferring to Texas A&M to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine to become an equine veterinarian.
Tickets to the fair are now available in person and online. Fair Season Passes, sold exclusively by the Queen contestants, cost $40 and provide admission for all four days of the fair. “Thank you for your support as I work on making a positive difference in this world,” stated Dodd.

St. Paul Lutheran holds services on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Services are recorded every week, rotating among four Shared Lutheran Ministry churches and posted on the Facebook page for the Shared Lutheran Ministry of Fayette County. Services are also featured on KTIM 89.1 Sundays at noon.
St. John the Baptist Catholic St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville holds Mass Saturdays at 5 p.m., and Sunday’s at 10 a.m.

Fayetteville Brethren
Worship services at Fayetteville Brethren are held on the second, third and fourth Saturday of every month at 10 a.m. An adult Bible Study is held before the worship service from 9-9:45 a.m.
