Arts for Rural Texas proudly presents Emerging Artists, an annual youth art competition and exhibition that showcases the creativity and talent of rural Texas students. Held each year at the Ross Gallery in Fayetteville, the competition invites public, private, and homeschooled students in grades 6–12 to submit their original artwork for a chance to earn ribbons and a share of $5,000 in cash prizes.

Young artists are invited to submit work in a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, jewelry, sculpture, and fiber.

Winners will be announced during the exhibition opening on Saturday, August 1. Four prizes will be awarded in each grade level, along with one overall Best in Show. The exhibition will remain on display until September 5.

Entry into the competition is free, and the deadline to submit artwork is Monday, July 20, at 4 p.m. For competition rules, other important dates, and entry submission, visit www.artsforruraltexas. org/emergingartists. For questions, please contact artists@artsforruraltexas.org or call (979) 378-2113.
