Nancy Irene Pietsch, 69, of La Grange, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023. Nancy was born in La Grange, TX, on January 2, 1954, the daughter of the late Raymond Zingelmann and Lillian (Keilers) Zingelmann.

Dorothy Frances (Smidovec) Orsak, 76, of Fayetteville, Texas, a special lady whose warmth and generosity brightened every day, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023. Dorothy was born in Columbus, Texas on September 20, 1946, the daughter of Jerry Rudolph Smidovec and Amalie (Zapalac) Smidovec.

Larry Edwin Shimek, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Larry was born in El Campo, Texas on December 22, 1942, the son of the late John Shimek and Bertha (Socha) Shimek.

Funeral services for Betty Pratho, 88 of Giddings, were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner and Rev. Joshua Hahn officiating. Burial followed in St. Michael’s Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester, Texas.

Funeral services for Irene Noack, 86 of Serbin, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin with Rev. John Schmidt officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Irene Helen (Berger) Noack was born on February 17, 1937 in Giddings, Texas to Walter and Minna (Biehle) Berger. She was united in marriage to Clarence Herman Noack on November 21, 1954 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin by Rev. Arthur Arndt. They were blessed with four children. Irene worked as a cook at St. Paul Lutheran School in Serbin and the Immanuel Lutheran Early Childhood Center for many years. Irene passed away the morning of Thursday, June 1, 2023 in La Grange.

Eddie A. (Ed) Krivacka died in La Grange on May 26, 2023, at the age of 87. The third son of William (Bill) and Annie Vaclavik Krivacka, he was born on a tenant farm near Latium, southwest of Brenham, on Aug. 29, 1935.
