James Edward Zapalac, 80, of New Ulm passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022.
James was born in Sealy on April 11, 1941, the son of Martin and Tekla Margaret (Haczynski) Zapalac.
He served honorably in the United States Army from 1969 to 1973 as a sharpshooter and earned the National Defense Service Medal.
