A private family graveside service will be held for Adele Erna Herbrich Wilson, 97, of Winchester, at St. Michael’s Lutheran Cemetery in Winchester with Rev. Nate Hill officiating.
Adele passed away the morning of Sept. 6, 2020, in Giddings, after a brief illness.
Adele was born on Aug. 17, 1923 in Winchester to Paul and Emma (Zoch) Herbrich. When she was 17, she moved to Houston where she worked at various jobs and met her future husband, Joseph Benjamin Wilson. They were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Houston on Dec. 5, 1947. Their marriage was blessed with four children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and all seven of her siblings.
Adele is survived by her children, Lucy Cundiff of Centerville, Mass., Carolyn and husband Wayne Kellam of Mans field, Janet and husband James Kaiser of Belton, and Mark Wilson and wife Alice of Winchester. She is also survived by her grandchildren, step-granddaughter Rebecca and husband Brian Mitschke of Giddings, eight great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester, Texas, Bec’s Blessings in Giddings, Texas, the Wendish Heritage Society in Serbin, Texas, or a charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
