Edgar Herman Von Minden, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.

Edgar was born in Fayetteville on Oct. 26, 1939, the son of Edgar and Jennie (Krenek) Von Minden. He married Marie Weishuhn on June 23, 1963 in Frelsburg.

He was employed as a sales and service engineer for Tube Turns, a pipeline company and retired after 43 years.

Edgar was a multi-talented craftsman who enjoyed creating one of a kind masterpieces. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and riding in his buggy with Marie and his precious pups. Edgar had a never ending love of family and friends and an indomitable spirit that was strong, even when his body was not. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Von Minden, of 57 years; two daughters: Linda Saunders and husband, Mike, of Katy; Lisa Treybig and husband, Mike, of Tomball; sister, Shirley Frers and husband, Harvey, of Columbus; and five grandchildren: Rebecca Wischnewsky and husband, Brant; Melissa Aiena and husband, Dr. Lane Aiena, M.D.; Sarah Kasser and husband, Shayne; Marie Saunders and Emily Saunders; four great grandchildren: Brayden and Aubrey Wischnewsky; Madelyn and Myles Aiena.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Florenz and Frieda Weishuhn, and brother-in-law, Emil Henrichsen.

In an abundance of caution due to the recent COVID-19 operating procedures, the funeral home will be following the recommendations of the Governor and County Judge. Face masks must be worn in the church and social distancing at six feet apart must be observed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services for family members will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 N. Rusk St. in Fayetteville, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021. Burial will follow at the Fayetteville City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 N. Rusk St., Fayetteville, TX 78940; Fayetteville Area Heritage Museum, 117 N. Washington, Fayetteville, TX 78940; or a charity of one’s choice.
