Thomas “Tom” L. Taylor, 82, of Muldoon entered into Eternal Rest on Monday, March 7, 2022.

Tom was born in Atlanta, Texas on July 4, 1939, the son of the late Clifton Forrest Taylor and Ida (Hogue) Taylor.

He graduated from Milby High School in Houston in 1957. Tom enlisted into the Army National Guard of Texas on July 22, 1958 with his primary duty as an acting infantryman, serving honorably for over five years.

Tom began his career as a heavy equipment operator for Brown & Root Industrial Services and later worked in the industry as a contract salesman until his retirement.

On Aug. 8, 1980, in a beautiful ceremony held in Conroe, Tom married Ellender “Jean” Lott. They moved to Muldoon in 2004 and shared thirty-nine years of marriage. Tom welcomed the peacefulness of country living and it brought him great joy being able to raise cattle and ride his tractor. Tom was mechanically inclined and could be found involved in various DIY projects.

In his spare time, Tom enjoyed going on trail rides and collecting antiques with Jean. Most of all, Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and blended family members.

He was a member of the Kendall Masonic Lodge No. 897 in Boerne, and Shriners International.

Tom is survived by two sons: Kevin Taylor (Mardi) of Alma, Ark.; Jeff Taylor (Margie) of Conroe; his stepchildren, James Rodgerson (Terrye) of Katy; Katherine Petch (William) of Magnolia; Deborah Jean Davis of Spring; his eleven grandchildren: Logan and Landon Taylor; Jamie La Fuente; Tim Lenz; Cody Lenz; Grant, Bethany, Hunter Petch; Jarrod and Nathan Rodgerson; Shelly Davis; his twelve great grandchildren: Mariah, Layla, and Quinten Davis; Lathan and Avery La Fuente; Willa and Elle Lenz; Cooper and Lily Lenz; Woodrow and Quinn Rodgerson; and Brittany Petch; two nieces: Wendy Pete and son Micha, and Kelly Taylor.
