Stolle

Richard Lee Stolle, age 65, of La Grange, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Richard was born in La Grange on Oct. 11, 1960, and spent his life in the community he called home. The son of Otto Charles Stolle and Dorothy (Liebscher) Stolle, Richard was raised with the values of hard work, humility and faith that would guide him throughout his life. He carried those lessons with him in all that he did and was known for his willing hand, kind heart and sincere devotion to the people and places that mattered most to him.

Richard graduated from La Grange High School where he formed friendships and memories that remained with him throughout his life. He built a life centered around honesty and being a man of his word. He worked for Delwin Tietjen Plumbing and later the KJT where he was respected for his dedication and strong work ethic and pride of a job done well.

Richard found great comfort and joy in the simple things. He loved caring for his cattle, visiting with his family and friends and lending a helping hand when needed.

Richard was a fan of his local high school team, the La Grange Leopards. He enjoyed watching his favorite professional teams: Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, Texas Longhorns and the A&M Aggies.

Richard believed in treating others with kindness and respect. He will be remembered by those who knew him and will be dearly missed. We are so grateful to have had him in our lives. He touched many with his genuine concern for others.

Richard is survived by his mother, Dorothy Mae Stolle, who he has lovingly cared for at home for many years. He is also survived by his aunt, Genelle Krebs of Shelby; cousins Nora Jurecka of La Grange, Doris (George) Jurica of Katy, Marsha (Norman) Jasek of Shelby and Janet (Bryan) Vacha of Bellville.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Otto C. Stolle; uncles James Stolle, Kermit Stolle, Light Liebscher and Light’s wife, Irene, and his aunt, Lorine Sunderhuse.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family received friends from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2026. Burial will follow at Rutersville Cemetery.
