Phyllis was a person who lived her life for others. She lived her Christian beliefs dedicating her life to her Lord, family, friends, and anyone she could help. She was a long-time Sunday School teacher, United Methodist Women member and officer, and a member of the choir at every church she attended. After she retired she volunteered at a nursing home and mentored students at the local elementary school. She was forever young at heart and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Phyllis loved to cook, put jigsaw puzzles together, play games, and had a delightful sense of humor and mischief. Her talents were truly amazing. She was a skilled bookkeeper, office manager, organizer, seamstress and homemaker, as well as the greatest fan and mentor a person could ever have. Phyllis loved baseball and followed the Brooklyn Dodgers as her favorite team until she became a Houston Astros fan. She also liked playing golf with her husband, Bud, and enjoyed watching golf on TV. Arnold Palmer was her favorite player.
She loved people and always had a kind word to say to everyone. Her life was a gift of Love and inspiration to her family and will be for generations to come.
On Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022 she was laid to rest next to her husband in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Trinity.
