Patricia (Patsy) Frances Melcher Smith heard the trumpet’s call and soared into the Kingdom of the Heavenly Father on Aug. 26, 2021.

Patsy leaves behind husband Rick; son, Rick Smith; son-in-law, Fabian Martinez, Jr.; daughter, Christy, son-in-law, Scott Bird; grandsons, Travis and Jackson; sister-in-law, Carol Henslee; sister, Rosemarie and brother-in-law, Paul Aponte; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended friends and family too numerous to list.

Catholic Rosary, Mass and Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul, Austin, 9500 Neenah Ave., starting at 9:30 a.m. for a half-hour of quiet contemplation with Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. The Celebration of Life will follow at approximately 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the charity of your choice in her name.

In light of the ongoing COVID pandemic, at the request of the family, attendees to any events planned are encouraged to wear a mask regardless of your vaccination status following CDC guidelines.
