Shane Joshua Smith went to the Lord Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020 in La Grange.

He was born Dec. 27, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was a member of Mt. Calvery Lutheran Church in La Grange. He worked for McCourt & Sons, Smith Electric, and McCoy’s Tree Service. He loved fishing, hunting, Nascar, Oklahoma University football, and music. He also worked and lived in Breckenridge, Colo. He had a big heart and a smile you couldn’t forget.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Ronny Smith, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

He is survived by his sons, Dakota Smith of Indiana and Tyler Smith of Kentucky; daughters, Megan and Riley of Kentucky; mother, Michelle Ann Smith of La Grange; brother, Joe Stephens and sister-in-law Erin Stephens, Gracie, Millie, and Asher, all of La Grange; aunt, Pattie Stephens Ryan of Kansas; uncle, Mike Stephens of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Lonny and Nancy Smith of Ponca City, Okla.; Jessie and Peggy Smith of Mustang, Okla.; Pam Smith of Ponca City, Okla.; many cousins; godmother, Jane Ruefly of Florida; good friends, Michael Bentley, Michael Ashley, and many others.

A very special thanks to Hospice Brazos Valley in La Grange and Walmart employees.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later day.

His body will be donated to UTMB Health in Galveston.
