Willie Lee Scott, 96, of La Grange, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021.

Willie was born Aug. 22, 1925 in Holman to Love Carlton and Emmie (Coreathers) Carlton. She was employed as a Surgical Technician at the University of New Mexico Hospital. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Weimar. She was president of the Missionary Committee and Sunday School teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by sisters, Rosie Lee Scott of La Grange, Frances Scott of La Grange, Attie Lee Ellis of Houston; brother, Frank Carlton of Round Rock; sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Carlton of Houston, Mary Carlton of Houston, and Dorothy Carlton of La Grange.

Funeral services were held at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in La Grange at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 with the Rev. Walter S. Walker, II officiating. Burial followed at the Paradise Gardens Cemetery in Weimar.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange.
