Linda Ruth Scott, 67, of Houston died Friday, April 30, 2021 in Houston. Linda was born on May 25, 1953 in La Grange to Jimmie Lee Homer and Lovie Lee Scott. She was employed as in independent accountant.

She is survived by her mother; sisters, Delories Taylor and husband Wallace of Houston, Willie Mae Scott-Williams of Houston, Patricia Black and husband George of Houston, Sandra Johnson and husband Michael of Houston, Melba Mitchell and husband Otis of Houston, Monica Humber and husband Robert of Houston, and Evelyn Grant and husband Lester of La Grange; brothers, John Homer and wife Zenobia of DeSoto, Joseph Homer and wife Karen of La Grange, Lonnie Homer and wife Tracy of Houston, Floyd Homer of Houston, and Jimmie and wife Harlisha Homer of Houston. She is also survived by a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in La Grange at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 with Rev. Louis Zachary officiating.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange.
