Funeral services for Rodney Schulze, 59 of Flatonia, are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Tim Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in the Winchester Cemetery in Winchester.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The Schulze family will be present for visitation Friday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Rodney Schulze was born on Aug, 19, 1961 in Bastrop, Texas to Paul and Laura (Zoch) Schulze. He was a long-time rancher and was very involved with the American Paint Horse Association.

Rodney passed away the afternoon of Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Austin.

Rodney is survived by his parents, Paul and Laura Schulze of Winchester; six brothers, Michael and Mary Schulze of Silsbee, Mark Schulze of Winchester, Steven Schulze of La Grange, Melvin and Virginia Schulze of Winchester, Ricky Schulze of Winchester, and Nathan and Jennifer Schulze of Fayetteville; two sisters, Gladys Tschatschula of La Grange and Sharon and Billy Bunton of La Vernia, and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
