Elizabeth Ann (McKennon) Schneider, 96, of La Grange, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020.

Elizabeth was born in Midlothian on July 12, 1924, the daughter of Calvert and Sarah (Goats) McKennon. Elizabeth married Arthur Walter Schneider May 29, 1947 in Rosenburg. The couple was blessed with three children. Elizabeth was a bookkeeper in her early years for Schultz Furniture in Rosenberg, Shell Oil Company and Fort Bend Feed. However, most of her life she was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She loved to sew, crochet, play cards and work crossword puzzles. Her favorite memories always included dancing. She and her husband, Art, were members of local area dance clubs and hosted several couple dances. She was a charter member that began the local Big Band dances several years ago. She loved family gatherings and having loved ones come to her home and visit.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Schneider and wife, Teresa of La Grange; daughter, Linda Knox of Houston; daughter, Cheryl Supak and husband, Jody of La Grange; grandchildren: J.T. Knox, Joel Schneider and wife, Kacie; Stephen Knox, David Knox, Erin Supak, Claire Supak, Elena Supak; special nephew, Kenneth “Diddy Boy” Bettin and his family: Jennifer Zaragoza, Kori Vaughn, Brian Bettin; along with other numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and two sisters.

In an abundance of caution due to the recent COVID-19 operating procedures, the funeral home and church will be following the recommendations of the Governor and County Judge. Facemasks must be worn in the funeral home and social distancing up to six feet apart must be observed.

Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 28, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home & Cremations. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020. Burial will follow at La Grange City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 1048 N. Jefferson St., La Grange, TX 78945, or to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. 567, La Grange, TX 78945.
