Rudloff
Oliver Henry Rudloff, 94, of Industry, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020.
Oliver was born in Shelby on Oct. 2, 1925, the son of Monroe and Tonie (Schmidt) Rudloff.
Oliver was baptized at Haw Creek Methodist Church and confirmed at Industry Methodist Church.
Oliver attended Skull Creek Public School and then attended and graduated from Fayetteville ISD. He was a member of the Fayetteville ISD boys’ basketball team who won the 1942-43 Region VI championship. They were one of two teams from Fayetteville that went to state. After graduating high school, he was drafted into the Navy during World War II. He was a graduate of several Naval Service Schools during the war. After being honorably discharged, Oliver was in the Navy Reserves from 1947-1956. He received the Asiatic Pacific Campaign, American Theater Campaign, Good Conduct, World War II Victory and the Sharpshooter Carbine 15 medals.
Oliver met Waldine Rinn at an Industry Methodist Church picnic after returning from the service. The couple later married on Oct. 5, 1947. The couple were blessed with two sons: Randy and Michael.
Oliver was a graduate of Southwestern Business University of Houston where he received an accountant’s diploma. He received an Associate of Arts Degree in business administration with a major in accounting from the University of Houston. He completed his graduate work at Rockhurst in Kansas City in advanced accounting and finance. Oliver went to work for
Oliver went to work for Sheffield Steel Corp. as a cost accountant in Houston. When Armco Steel acquired the company, he was given a promotion and transferred to the Kansas City office. In 1962 Waldine and Oliver moved to Gainesville and opened up a Firestone dealership. A few years later, they moved to Waco to be closer to their aging parents and he worked as a controller for a highway contractor. In 1982, they moved back to Industry and he worked for Hurricane Industries in Sealy and continued his career later working for Jones G. Finke Company, a highway contractor in Sealy. After retirement, Oliver started a specialty advertising company which he operated until the age of 86.
Oliver was a member of the Industry United Methodist Church, Shelby American Legion, Grand Masonic Lodge of Texas of Bellville, Industry Historical Society and a founding member of the Industry City Council and the Industry Economic Development Corporation. He was a former member of the Waco Noon Lions and Industry West End Lions Clubs and of the Industry United Methodist Church choir. He is survived by his loving wife, Waldine, of 72 years; two sons: Michael Rudloff of Industry, and Randy Rudloff of Austin; two grandsons: Rustin Feller and wife, Kristen of Leander; Brock Feller and wife, Liz of Burleson; great-grandchildren: Jaxon and Mackenzie Feller; Adelaide and Thomas Feller.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold Rudloff and wife, Bernice; sister, Lorine (Rudloff) Eckermann and husband, Alfred. In an abundance of caution

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Zaskoda Chapel, 2280 Main St., in Industry.
Funeral Services were held at Industry United Methodist Church, 1914 Main St. in Industry, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020. Burial followed at Industry United Methodist Cemetery.
