Funeral services for Hays Perry, 90 of Giddings, were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Robert Tiner and Vicar Josh Hahn officiating. Burial followed in the Giddings City Cemetery.

Hays Thomas Perry was born at home in Burleson County on Sept. 7, 1931 to James Thomas “J.T.” Perry and Mary Ann (Brinkman) Perry.

Hays passed away the morning of Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at his home in Giddings.

Hays is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Perry of Giddings; two sons, Clayton Perry of San Antonio and Kenneth and Debbie Perry of Giddings; five grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Alma Turner of Martindale; three brothers, E.D. Perry of Caldwell, Gerald Perry of Houston, and Daniel Perry of Caldwell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
