Rogelio Rangel Orona was born in La Barranca, Durango, Mexico to Enrique and Maria De Jesus Rangel Orona.
Rogelio was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a man of great humor with a big heart. He knew what to say to make his family laugh. He was a very firm, creative, strict, hardworking and responsible person. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange where he was involved in the Spanish masses and in many church events for the Hispanic community. He loved his family dearly. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by one son, Brijido Orona; two daughters, Elvira Alvarado (Pedro) and Elsa Gonzalez; four brothers, Alfredo Orona (Carmen), Gustavo Orona (Matilde), Eriberto Orona and Servando Orona; two sisters, Juana Mendez and Socorro Ruiz; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Isabel Palacio Orona; parents, Enrique and Maria Orona; one sister, Joel Cervantez; along with one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange (580 East Pearl Street, La Grange, TX 78945).
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.
