Carol Goodson Montgomery, 77, of Brenham, passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Raymond (Cotton) Goodson; her mother, Mary Lee Allcorn Goodson; infant sister, Kathryn Dale Goodson, and brother, Billy Joe Goodson.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Dale Montgomery; son, JJ Caswell and wife Laura; and children of former husband Wayne Lee Montgomery, Tommy Montgomery, David Montgomery and Lisa Montgomery Sellers; surviving siblings, Dwight Goodson and his wife Linda, and her brother Terry Goodson. She has many remaining grandchildren.

Carol was born in Houston, the oldest of five children. She was affectionately nicknamed “Sissy” by her family. She made a career in medical billing. She enjoyed country music, woodworking, horses and gardening. Her last job was at the Texas Quilt Museum in La Grange.

A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, Sept. 25 at 2 p.m. at Southwinds Baptist Church located at 16811 FM 2920 n Tomball.
