Beth McKenzie, born May 19, 1962, in La Grange to Marian and Eugene Ulbrich, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Beth was known for her kind heart, strong faith, warm smile, and caring spirit that touched countless lives throughout her years.

A graduate of La Grange High School, Beth dedicated much of her life to caregiving and nursing, where her compassion and work ethic left a lasting impact on many. She was deeply involved in her community through organizations including the Fair Board, LGVFD Auxiliary, and Sheriff’s Posse.

Beth had a deep love for hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, traveling, and most of all, her family. She was a devoted mother to Tracie Ortiz, Krista Rayburn, and Terra McKenzie, and a proud grandmother to Ryan Davis, Destiny Alexander, Mackenzie Bond, Myla Bond, and Kace Harvey.

She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, siblings Eugene Ulbrich and Minnie Moentnish, along with many extended family members and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marian and Eugene Ulbrich, brother Michael Knipple, aunts Evelyn Scott Hinson and Agnes Hinson, cousin Joanne Tidwell Hinson, and sister-in-law Diane Ulbrich.

Beth’s strength, love, humor, and unwavering faith will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Humanity spends a lot of time pretending toughness matters more than kindness, then people like Beth leave and everybody suddenly remembers what actually held things together.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, May 15, 2026 at 4 p.m. at Koenig-Belvill Funeral Home and Cremations, 208 W. Pearl St., La Grange. Flowers and donations can also be sent to the Funeral home.
