Funeral services for Lee Mayberry, 74, of Ledbetter were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Rev. J.R. Roberson officiating and Rev. Michael D. McClain assisting. Burial followed in the St. Matthew Cemetery in Carmine.
Lee Arthur Mayberry was born on Nov. 22, 1946 in Kirtley to Robert and Laura (Isaac) Mayberry. He married Verna C. Guyton on Jan. 16, 1987 in Brenham. Lee was a retired automobile painter. Lee passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Silver Pines Nursing and Rehab Center in Bastrop.
Lee leaves to mourn his passing seven children, Lester Guyton and his wife, Michelle of Houston, Emma Guyton of Giddings, Debra Greene and her husband, Stanley of Ledbetter, Alton Parker Jr. and Norma Morrow of Lexington, Darly “Doris” Parker and his wife, Tina of Jersey Village, Vernon Asagba of Ledbetter, Victor Parker and his wife, Brande of Bryan, and Lester “Glenn” Guyton Jr. of Bryan; twenty six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.
Lee is also survived by one sister, Annie Mayberry of Waelder; four brothers, Calvin Mayberry of Austin, Irvin Mayberry of Columbus, Tommy Mayberry of Austin and Robert Mayberry of California, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
