Charles Victor “Charlie” Malke, age 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, June 6, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family and the promise of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Friday, June 12, from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. Family will be present during visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 11. Funeral services for Charlie will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, June 12, at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings, Texas. Burial will follow at the Rost Family Cemetery in Ledbetter, Texas.

Charlie was born on March 12, 1954 in Giddings to Louis and Bernice (Kubsch) Malke. He was baptized into the Christian faith on March 21, 1954 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Serbin by Rev. Arthur Arndt. He was later confirmed on April 7, 1968 at St. Paul Lutheran Church by Rev. Ewald Recks.

Throughout his life, Charlie’s faith remained an important foundation, guiding him through life’s joys and challenges. He graduated from Giddings High School in 1972.
