Susan Virginia Brandt Madison, 73 of La Grange, passed away peacefully at home on June 19, 2026.

Susan was born on Dec. 30, 1952 in Weimar to Hubert and Virginia Brandt.

Susan will be well remembered for her beautifully crocheted blankets. If you had the pleasure of receiving one, you had a special place in her heart. She will also be remembered for her luscious green thumb. She took pride and joy in her patio, garden and flower beds which were admired by all who visited.

Susan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Stacey and Danny Olenick, from La Grange; her two granddaughters, Jacey Olenick, from La Grange and Jamey Olenick and her fiancée, Zach Adams, from Lufkin Texas; her sister, Beth Brown and husband Mark from La Grange, her sister Lisa Primrose and husband Charles, from College Station, and brother Brad Brandt from Burnet. Numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins also survive. She is also survived by her beloved cat Hank.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Randy Madison.

Visitation was held Wednesday, June 24 from 4-7 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service was held on Thursday, June 25 at 2 p.m. at the Brandt Family Cemetery in Holman.
