Bernice Marie Lehmann, 99 years old, passed away on Feb. 23, 2022 in Weimar. She was born to Ed and Martha (Luedke) Pavelka on Jan. 9, 1923 in New Bremen. She married Roy Christian Lehmann on Dec. 20, 1941.

Bernice was very active in her life and loved cooking for friends. You never went to her home without having a meal or dessert! She was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed gardening. She received Yard of the Month several times in Columbus. She will be most remembered for her devoted caring and compassion for her friends and family and will be dearly missed.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Martha Pavelka; husband, Roy Christian Lehmann; brothers, Elgin Pavelka and Milton Pavelka; and great-grandson, Blake Austin Barrow.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Mary Lehmann Voss and husband, Ralph, of La Grange; son, Herbert Allen Lehmann of San Juan; grandchildren, Rebecca Voss Bosworth and husband, Chester Bosworth III, Robin Voss Huff and husband, Victor Huff III, (Vic) Christian Voss Watson and husband, James Watson III (Tres), Suzanne Lehmann Barrow and husband, Scott Barrow, and Amathy Lehmann Klepac and husband, Allen Klepac, Dianna Huff Schultz and Cortney Huff Weaver; great-grandchildren, Jacob Sage Fields, Victor Calvin Huff IV, Hayden Christian Voss Huff, James Garland Watson IV, Reid Christian Watson, Shelby Blaine Barrow and wife, Lorrie, and Sawyer John Barrow; and great-great-granddaughter, Brynn Agnes Barrow; sister, LaVern Machala; and sister-in-law, Norma Pavelka.

A funeral service was held on Feb. 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating. A visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m., also at the funeral home. Burial followed at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Bellville.

Serving as pallbearers were Great Grandsons: Sage Fields, Cal Huff, Hayden Huff, Quade Watson, Reid Watson, Shelby Barrow and Sawyer Barrow.
