Theodore Ernest Krenek, 81, of Paige, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Theodore was born in Fayetteville on Oct. 25, 1939, the son of Theodor and Leddie (Orsak) Krenek. He married Barbara Head on Sept. 9, 1961 at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Houston.

After high school, Theodore served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 and was stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Subsequently, he was employed as a machinist at various companies and last employed by LCRA in Bastrop as a machinist for 15 years.

During his 24 years of retirement, he raised cattle in Fayette county, (living in Winchester, West Point and Flatonia) and worked avidly on projects around the home. Always keeping busy, there was not a blade of grass to grow under his feet. He was devoted to his family and found no better place than home.

Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Barbara Krenek; two sons: Theodore Krenek, Jr. and wife, Jacque, of Driftwood; Greg Krenek and wife, Patricia, of Paige; eight grandchildren: Rachel Jones and husband, Chas; Brittany Siegmund and husband, Darren; Clay Krenek; Brook Krenek; Jenna Krenek; Greg Krenek, Jr. and wife, Mariah; Laura Mutschink and husband, Jordan; and Travis Krenek; and seven great-grandchildren Violet, Evelyn, Kason, Tinnley, Jackson, Avery and Alayna.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Clerise Decker of Canyon and brother, Clement Krenek of Chico, Calif..

A graveside service will be held at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Fayetteville at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, P.O. Box 57, Fayetteville, TX 78940.
