Funeral services for Donna Koenig, 62, of Ledbetter, were held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings with Tim Pitts officiating. Burial followed in the Dodd Family Cemetery in Beat Five.

Donna Sue Koenig was born on Dec. 17, 1957 in Austin to Billy “Bill” Horace Koenig and Dorothy Ann (Dodd) Koenig. Donna graduated from Scarborough High School, Houston, Texas in 1977. She worked for Snappy Printing Company in Houston for almost 40 years until moving to Ledbetter to take care of her mom. Donna was a very fun and loving person, who treasured all her friends dearly.

Donna passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2020 at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in College Station.

Donna is preceded in death by her father, Bill Koenig, and her brother, Don Koenig.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Koenig of Ledbetter; her sister-in-law, Joyce Koenig of Hockley; three aunts, Marguerite Lawrence of Giddings, Brennice Koether of Giddings, and Diane White of Arlington, as well as numerous cousins.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
