Funeral services for Elizabeth “Liz” Ann (Nitsche) Klump, 76, of Round Top are set for 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, 2021 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, with Pastor Nedbalek officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8, 2021 at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange.

Mrs. Klump passed away Jan. 5, 2021 in Bryan.

Liz was born Dec. 21, 1944 to Bennie Nitsche and Margaret (Zahn) Nitsche in Wharton, Texas. She was baptized April 26, 1946 in Wharton, Texas and her Godmother was Myrtle Ustynik. She married Ronald Roy Klump on Nov. 6, 1965.

Liz was an animal lover and avid bird watcher. She was the proud Mom of Molly and Happy, her puppies and Fuzzy, her cat. She loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as farming and hunting. Liz was a kind-hearted person and owner of Klump’s Restaurant in Round Top for almost 30 years.

Liz was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Klump of Round Top; son, Russell Klump and wife Jonna; daughter, Kristina Pierce and husband Mark; brothers, Charles Nitsche, Robert Nitsche, Ronnie Nitsche; sisters Joyce Andrejczak and husband Harry, Debbie Schneider and husband Glenn; grandchildren Madeline Pierce, Kolten Pierce; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Danny Riebeling, Jerry Rohde, Weslee DeLeon, Raymond Rosenbaum, Willie McKenzie, and Craig Bauer. Robert Wagner and Melvin Schoenst will act as honorary pallbearers.

The family requests that guests wear masks to the funeral and visitation.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the ALS Association.
