Funeral services for Rose Marie Kilian, 90 of Winchester, are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Winchester with Rev. Nate Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022 from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Saturday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Rosine Maria Matthijetz Herzog Kilian was born on March 25, 1931 in Winchester, Texas to Carl August and Anna (Jakobeit) Matthijetz.

She passed away on Dec. 26, 2021 at 10:14 p.m. in Weimar.

She is survived by her son, Larry Wayne Herzog and wife Glenda Ruth (Taylor) of Winchester; one daughter, Lorie Ann (Herzog) Lehmann and husband Douglas of Warda; one sister, Edna Loraine Kessel of La Grange; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Diane (Lehmann) Herzog of Winchester; one brother-in-law, Wesley T. Diller of La Grange; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Laura Georgerine Matthijetz. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
