Kaltwasser

Catherine Ann (Romines) Kaltwasser, born March 9, 1937, passed away Dec. 27, 2020.

She is survived by son, Daryl Kaltwasser and wife Gail; daughter, Linda Jozwiak and husband Herbert; son-in-law, Charles Howard and wife Jane; and son, Jeffrey Kaltwasser; as well as 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan in 2000, her daughter, Sharon Howard in 2010, and daugther-in-law, Donna Kaltwasser.

Catherine lived all of her life in Houston and was a longtime member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. She met the love of her life, Ivan, at Bill Mraz Dance Hall. They were married April 4, 1953 and enjoyed 47 years of marriage. She was a homemaker and focused her life on raising her family. Catherine’s grandchildren and greatgrandchildren held a special place in her heart. She looked forward to attending their birthday parties and various school or sport activities. In addition, Catherine and Ivan had a love of polka dancing and spent most of their weekends attending dances. They were members of the Polka Lovers Klub of America (P.O.L.K. of A.) where they made many friends.

Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church (625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston, TX 77079) followed by private interment.

She had many relatives in the La Grange and Shelby area.
